I’ve been sooo obsessed with blue nails for this winter )and all winter tbh)! Had to make this big list of my absolute faves for you.
Blue is the best winter color in my opinion because it reminds you of ice and snow, it has the winter appropriate ‘coolness’, if you will, and it goes perfectly together with white which is of course another important color for winter nail art.
You can do light blues or dark ones, we’ve got a bit of everything in this list. There’s 44 designs here and I think I love them all!
1. Classic Icy Blue

This one’s super easy. Just paint your nails icy blue, the mix it up with a solid white nail or two, and a cute snowflake and your done. Looks like frozen glass which is pretty. Simple but really winter-y.
2. Navy Blue with Gold Flakes

Navy is so elegant. Gold flakes make it fancy. The way the gold sparkles is really nice and it looks expensive even though it’s not.
3. Baby Blue French Tips

French tips are classic but I use baby blue instead of white for the tips and also mix it with some solid blue nails. Finally add some wintery snoflakes – it’s different than regular french nails. Goes with everything you wear too.
4. Midnight Blue Glitter Ombre

So this starts dark and then it fades into milky white base. Reminds me of stars at night in winter. Ombre looks hard but it’s actually not that hard to do. The Abstract design on top looks almost like stars or constellations in the night sky – adorable.
5. Icy Blue Glacier Nails

I love glacier nails right now. Shifting shades of icy blue is so subtle and looks amazing when its short nails. It’s soft and pretty, like your looking at snow through a window.
6. Dark Blue Chrome

Chrome nails are the coolest! This dark blue/plum chrome is shiny and metallic and almost looks like a galaxy on your nails. Changes colors when the light hits it different ways.
7. Different Blue Shades with Intricate Snowflakes

Snowflakes are perfect for winter obviously. Paint your nails different shades of light blue and add one navy blue accent nail, then add large intricate white snowflakes. You can do all your nails or just one if you want.
8. Steel Blue with Frenchies

Steel blue is on the darker/muted/dusty side but still works for winter somehow. I like it when everything outside is gray and sad – it matches the vibe. Bright French tips will make you feel better.
9. Elegant Blue Winter Nails

these square nails look like ice or frozen water when you do dark + pale blue combo and white blizzard with snowflakes. The pattern is really pretty. Each nail looks different (unique like a snowflake!) which I think is cool.
10. Muted Blue with Rhinestones

Muted blue glittery polish has this subtle velvety shimmer in it so it’s kind of unique on its own. Add rhinestones in funky geometric line designs if you want sparkle. Fancy but you can still wear it everyday.
11. Steel Blue with Snowman

Almond shape makes everything look fancy trendy and cute. Steel blue isn’t too bright or too dark. Really versatile and professional if you need that for work. Then add in fun whimsical accent like a snowman, snowflakes and a plaid nail.
12. Sky Blue with Silver Tips

This is like the cool sister of French tips. Your base for nails is sky blue and the tips are silver chrome on the accent nails. Looks fresh and clean like winter clouds.
13. Royal Blue with Swirls

Stiletto nails are dramatic. Royal blue makes them even more dramatic. But the swirly design softens the look – maybe not everyones thing for winter but it definitely works as a simple winter design if that’s what you want.
