Okay time for honesty, almond is the best nail shape and as much as I try others, I just keep going back to almond. Square felt too blunt, coffin was always breaking, stiletto was a phase I don’t talk about. Almond just fits, it makes your fingers look longer and it makes every color look more intentional and I can’t explain it better than that.

I go through phases – right now I’m obsessed with anything chrome or iridescent, but I’ll never fully quit a good French tip or a clean solid color. The glazed donut look changed how I think about “simple” nails honestly. These are all the almond nail looks I’ve had saved on my phone and genuinely want to try.
What’s Trending With Almond Nails Right Now

Almond nails are having a serious moment and honestly they never really left. Here’s what’s big right now:
- Chrome and glazed finishes – the glossy, almost wet-looking nails are everywhere
- Soft ombres – baby boomer and milky gradients are still going super strong
- Muted solid colors – sage green, butter yellow, lilac, chocolate brown – one clean color done really well
- Nail art on sheer bases – florals, swirls, hearts, dots, all on that barely-there pink base
- Colored French tips – black, gold foil, iridescent – basically anything but plain white
- Tortoiseshell and animal print with a twist – both the classic dark version and the newer pastel take on it
The overall vibe right now is pretty and polished but not overdone. Even the bolder looks like chrome and marble have this softness to them that makes them really wearable.
Aurora Ombre Almond Nails

These start with a soft pink at the base and fade into the most dreamy pastel blue and green at the tips. I am so obsessed with how the color shifts in the light. It’s giving mermaid and I love every second of it. The shimmer makes the whole thing look magical. Never gets old no matter how many times I come back to this look.
Baby Boomer Almond Nails

So the pink just melts right into white and it looks so soft and pretty. This is basically a French tip but the upgraded, more modern version and I think it’s better honestly. Goes with every single outfit in your closet without even trying. I reach for this style whenever I can’t decide what else to do. Classic for a real reason.
Coral Jelly Nails

This warm orangey-pink coral jelly shade is giving me all the summer feelings right now. Every skin tone looks good with this color, which is rare. I love a solid color on almond nails because the shape just does all the heavy lifting. It’s bright but not too loud, just happy and fresh. Really easy and really pretty.
Butter Yellow

Yellow nails used to scare me a little but this soft buttery shade changed everything for me. It’s creamy and warm and nowhere near as bold as you’d think. Just the right amount of sunny without being too much. I think about this color every time I want something that feels cheerful. So cute and easy to pull off.
White Chrome Finish Nails

Everyone knows the glazed donut look at this point and it’s popular for good reason. This milky white shade with a super shiny finish looks like someone literally dipped your nails in glaze. It’s minimal but it still makes a statement somehow. The shine level on these is honestly unreal. Simple but make it fashion.
Grounding Sage Green Shade

Sage green just never goes out of style, I’ve noticed. This muted dusty green looks really sophisticated on longer almond nails without trying too hard. Pair it with some gold rings and you are set for the day. I love that it feels earthy and polished at the same time. Very much a vibe I keep coming back to.
Polka Dot Patterns

White dots scattered on a sheer base sounds so simple but it’s really cute in person. It’s a little retro and playful which I love because it’s unexpected. You can totally do this at home with a dotting tool or honestly even a bobby pin. Fun without being too much going on. Easy nail art win right here.
Gold Foil French Tip

Okay this is the glam version of the French tip and I am totally into it. The base is that soft pink and then the tips have crushed gold foil all over them. Looks really expensive and elevated. I would for sure wear these to a wedding or a night out. Such a good luxe look.
Aurora French Tips

This is basically a French tip but make it magical and I mean that. The tips shift between white and lavender and soft blue with aurora shimmer. Sheer pink base keeps the whole thing from being too much. I love how unique it feels even though it’s still basically a French tip at heart. People will ask you about this one for sure.
Thin French Tip

Some things are just classics and this is absolutely one of them. Crisp white tip on a rosy pink base, done, perfect, nothing else needed. However, make it super thin French tips and you have a modern twist on a classic design.
Burgundy Chrome Luxury

This deep wine chrome is one of my favorite looks in this whole entire list. The metallic finish makes it look like liquid on your nails which sounds wild but it’s true. Bold but somehow really wearable at the same time. I’d rock these all fall and not stop. So rich and dramatic looking.
Pastel Yellow and Tropical Flowers

This set is creative and I really love what’s happening here. A couple nails are butter yellow, some have a white French tip, and then there’s a little plumeria flower accent on one nail to tie it all together. Mixing different things like this on one set makes it so interesting to look at. The flower detail is so delicate and summery and pretty. Love when a set does more than one thing.
Unexxpected Black French Tips

The edgy version of the classic French and I’m so here for it. Black tips on a pink neutral base is such a perfect combo because one is soft and one is bold. It adds attitude without going over the top. Easy enough to do at home if you’ve got a steady hand and some patience. Cool factor is very high with this one.
Rose Pearl Chrome Almond Nails

These look like they’re actually made of mother-of-pearl and I mean that as the biggest compliment. The color shifts between blush and champagne pink depending on the light you’re in. So soft and ethereal and pretty. I keep thinking these would look so amazing at a wedding. Just really gorgeous.
Lavender Jelly Chrome

This lavender jelly with chrome photographs amazingly and somehow looks even better in person. It’s got this iridescent purple-pink shimmer that’s just really luminous and alive looking. I am fully obsessed and have been for a while. Very dreamy.
Barely-There Florals

Tiny pink flowers on a sheer base and it is the most dainty sweet thing. Feminine but not overdone at all, which is the goal. These feel like spring in the best possible way. Every little flower looks hand painted and so delicate. Soft and pretty and I want this set so bad.
Solid Lilac Nails

Sometimes you just want one clean pretty color and this lilac totally delivers that. It’s that soft purple-lavender shade that’s been trending for a while now. Goes with more outfits than you’d expect honestly. Simple done right is still a look. Love it.
Brown Marble Swirls

Warm caramel and white swirled together on a sheer base and it honestly looks like real polished stone. So artistic and unique without being hard to understand. I love that it looks high fashion but you can recreate it at home with just a thin brush. One of those designs that impresses everyone who sees it. Really cool.
Minimalist White Swirl Line Art

Just a thin white swirl across a barely-there pink base and it looks so incredibly chic. Minimal but artistic, which is a hard balance to hit. I think this is one of those designs that looks way harder than it actually is to do. That delicate line gives it this little sketch quality that I really love. Clean and different.
Bronze Chrome – Different and Retro

This deep bronze metallic is giving antique coin meets cool fashion and I love that combo. The warm golden-brown catches the light beautifully and looks really dimensional. It just looks expensive, plain and simple. If you want to try chrome but aren’t sure about silver or gold, bronze is such a good way to start. Love the warmth of this one.
Elongated Almond Ombre Nails

Same baby boomer look we all love but on a longer nail and it’s even more elegant because of it. The pink-to-white gradient is so seamless here, no harsh line anywhere. Extra length really lets you appreciate how graceful the almond shape can be. I love how refined this feels. Just beautiful.
White Swirl on Neutral Base

Sometimes all you need is a subtle swirly line. It’s artistic and abstract in a way that’s really cool to look at. Not so wild that you can’t wear it everywhere though, which I appreciate. Such a creative twist on a classic shape. Love it.
Rosy Mauve Metallic Cateye Polish

This rosy pink cateye polish has a mirror-like finish and it looks so polished and put together. The color sits somewhere between dusty rose and rose gold which is a really flattering combo. Cateye nails photograph so well and this shade is no exception to that rule. Really pretty and goes with basically everything. Big fan.
Tiny Hearts Accents

Little red and pink hearts scattered all over a sheer milky base and I think it’s the cutest thing on this list honestly. Sweet and romantic but not cheesy at all, which can be hard to pull off with hearts. Because they’re so tiny it reads more like a delicate print than an obvious Valentine’s thing. Would wear these all year round no problem. So adorable.
Pearl Aurora Cateye Tips

This is one of those looks where people stop you and ask what you did because the finish is just that good. Shimmery pearl tips with super shimmery finish, shifting depending on the light. It’s like a step above the regular glazed donut look with more going on. That extra dimension is really hard to look away from. Stunning.
Rose Gold Shimmer Almond Nails

A sheer neutral-pink base with a fine sparkly shimmer all over giving it the softest rose gold glow. It’s not glittery in an obvious way, more like your nails are just naturally catching light really well. Wearable and elegant without even trying. Goes with literally everything I own. Really pretty everyday look that I keep going back to.
Pastel and Tortoiseshell Patterns

Tortoiseshell but in softer, lighter tones over a blush-colored base instead of the usual dark version. It’s still got that cool retro print feel but way more wearable for everyday life. Abstract enough to be interesting but not bold enough to be hard to match. I really like this gentler take on the trend. Such a good option.
Stylish Opal Chrome Trend

Full mermaid energy with this one and I’m not even a little sorry about it. The chrome shifts between pink and white and iridescent blue in the most beautiful way. Looks like the inside of an oyster shell which I know sounds weird but trust me it’s amazing. If you want nails that look genuinely magical, these are it. My favorite finish on this whole list.
Blush Pink – Classy and Low-Key

Not complicated at all, just a soft barely-there pink that looks clean and feminine and easy. Sometimes the simple look is actually the best look. A really well done single color on a great nail shape doesn’t need anything added to it. This blush proves that point perfectly. So effortless and pretty.
Bubblegum Pink Long Almond Nails

This pink is brighter and more saturated than the soft blushes and I love how fun and unapologetic it is. Not quite hot pink but definitely bold and more playful than most pinks. The almond shape keeps it from feeling too young or too much. Bold color plus good shape just always works. Very fun.
Baby Blue Shade

Baby blue is having such a big moment lately and on almond nails it looks so dreamy. This shade is that perfect soft sky blue, not too icy, not too bright, just calm and pretty and fresh. Kind of unexpected since most people grab pink or neutral by default. I think that’s part of what makes it so interesting. Really beautiful color choice.
Dark Chocolate Brown Mood

Brown sounds boring on paper but this deep chocolate shade is anything but. It looks rich and sophisticated on almond nails and just has this expensive quality to it. Works for a casual coffee run and a fancy dinner equally well, which is hard to find in a nail color. One of my favorite underrated picks on this whole list. Do not sleep on brown.
Classic Old Money Red

Red nails are forever iconic and on the almond shape they look absolutely incredible. Rich true red with a high gloss finish, bold and confident and timeless. There’s a reason red nails have been a thing for literal decades and this look shows you exactly why. The elongated almond tip makes it feel sleek instead of flashy. Iconic, no other word for it.
Barely Shimmery Ombre

Same idea as a classic pink ombre but with a fine shimmer built into the whole gradient. The pink-to-white fade looks more dimensional because of the sparkle layered through it. Delicate and glowy and just a little more special than a flat ombre. I love this variation a lot. Really elegant.
Dark Tortoiseshell Moment

Classic full tortoiseshell with deep amber, warm brown, and near-black tones swirled together under a really glossy finish. It looks so rich and warm. Tortoiseshell is honestly so underrated compared to marble but I think it’s just as artistic and cool. Retro feel but completely current at the same time. Really good look.
Rainbow Iridescent Chrome Vibes

This rainbow chrome on a pink base might be one of the most beautiful nail finishes I have ever seen. The way it shifts through pink and gold and blue and green depending on the light is honestly breathtaking. Almond shape is the perfect canvas to show this kind of effect off. These catch the light from literally every angle. One of my all time favorites and I will never stop loving this look.
